What is equipoise?
Equipoise is probably the best known brand name for what was originally the veterinary steroid Boldenone Undecylenate. Equipoise is an injectible steroid, originally developed when trying to engineer an injectible dianabol. The experiment failed, and what we obtained was Equipoise. Equipoise is an interesting steroid with a few unique effects, or at least much more pronounced than that of other steroids.
A long time ago, the comparison was made regarding the similarities between equipoise and nandrolone, which, at that time, seemed to be essentially identical. However, over time, it became clear that equipoise was more related to testosterone, and comparable as such.
On the one hand, the anabolic potentials of testosterone and equipoise are identical, while the androgen level of equipoise is about 50% of that of testosterone. So we should expect the muscle building potential of the two to be the same, but the differences obtained in real life show that the scoring system is completely wrong.
In general, due to its very long half-life (12-14 days), cycles should be 12 weeks for optimal gain, unless this disadvantage is circumvented by appropriate frontloading. Some also speculate to use it only in the earlier part of a cycle, as the long wind down period before the body clears the drug, the level is not high enough to be of any use, while neither appropriate for beginning PCT.
Overview of equipoise
-This anabolic aromatizes (converts testosterone to estrogen by aromatase) but does so very slowly. This property makes the drug an excellent substitute for users who fear the high conversion rate of testosterone.
-Equipoise is the first anabolic steroid to be found to increase appetite immensely. All steroids carry this trait to a degree, but equipoise may have you eating through walls
-Equipoise has the ability to stimulate erythropoiesis strongly (red blood cell production) as well as angiogenesis (new blood cell formation). The result of using a well executed equipoise cycle is extreme vascularity .
-Although it has similar properties to testosterone, its effects can differ significantly, including its ability to produce sexual side effects. The use of testosterone in combination with equipoise is a good idea, if the cycle allows it.
