Clenbuterol

What is clenbuterol?

First of all, clenbuterol is not an anabolic steroid as many think. It is classified as a beta-2 agonist as it has mild anabolic effects. Beta-2 agonists are medications designed to treat asthma, and clenbuterol is no exception. Clenbuterol was originally used to treat asthma, but this use is no longer approved in the United States (also in 99% of other countries).

More so, clenbuterol has evolved into a drug that has extreme fat loss potential, becoming a staple of many fat loss cycles and pre-contest preparation stacks. Clenbuterol shares many properties with ephedrine, the most powerful legal fat burner, but it accomplishes its goal of eliminating fat more effectively at a lower risk to the user. Indeed, ephedrine has been known to induce tachycardia (increased heart rate), sometimes fatally.

Uses of clenbuterol

Clenbuterol is adopted by several categories of athletes, in addition to bodybuilders. For example, endurance athletes and those involved in competitive sports are also regular consumers, thanks in part to clenbuterol’s ability to improve cardiovascular and respiratory performance. This would result in a gain of time before fatigue and the drop in peak performance. In fact, clenbuterol has found its way into the toolbox of “natural athletes” who are looking for ways to improve their physical strength, muscle mass, and performance without the need for hormonal treatment. Nevertheless, clenbuterol also has an infinite number of other applications.

  • During weight gain cycles to prevent the establishment of excess fat after a high calorie diet. Clenbuterol increases the level of basal metabolism, so macronutrient metabolism also increases, resulting in greater tissue disposition.
  • Clenbuterol is a basic product for many dry cycles, in which its use is done simultaneously with Winstrol, Anavar, trenbolone, T3 and other appropriate drugs. This helps to achieve that very fine skin appearance, so coveted by bodybuilders.

The dose of clenbuterol is slowly ramped up, to a max of about 150 micrograms daily, and run in cycles not exceeding 8 weeks length. The cycle length is not indicative of toxicity, but rather the ability of clenbuterol to down regulate the beta-2 receptor, leading to a loss of effect. An off period of the same length is usually a good remedy, as well as use of an anti-histamine
